WHAT A MAN’S GOTTA DO has two incarnations.
Andrew has performed the solo version of the show on a Country Arts WA tour of twelve towns from Albany to Karratha. He has performed at the Nannup Music Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and most recently at The Potato Shed in Drysdale, Victoria.
A full-cast version of the show – written, directed and produced by Andrew – SOLD OUT The Rechabites’ Hall two days into its public season.

The sountrack was recorded and mixed by Kieran Kenderessy at Loop Studio, except for the tracks by The Kill Devils Hills which were recorded by Ben Franz at Couch and mixed by Ben and Peter Grandison at Shanghai Twang. Mastering by Shaun O’Callighan at Couch.

WHAT A MAN’S GOTTA DO was first staged at The Rechabites Hall (William St, Northbridge) September, 19-30.
THE STORY begins when the bucks clash with the hens on the Friday night before the Sunday morning wedding. Lucy declares that Adam will never grow up and promptly calls off the wedding. He begs her for a second chance. She gives him 24 hours to prove he’s a man. What’s he gonna do? What’s a man gotta do to be a man?
THE THEMES of the musical explore mateship, marriage, work, sex, addictions, eldership, fatherhood, homophobia, violence, initiation, rites of passage and wanking.

In Andrew’s musical, “What A Man’s Gotta Do”, Adam’s older brother Kane sings about his failed relationship with “It’s A PC 2001 New Millennium Romantic Arrangement”. On the musical soundtrack, it is performed by Andrew Horabin with Ric Eastman, Matt Willis, Marty Pervan, Ben Phillips and Troy Greatz. This is the acoustic recording from the album Georgie Boy.

“How Pigs Behave” is sung by Shazza, Lucy and Elise, after the Bucks and Hens clash in the street.
