Andrew is a passionate, creative, hilarious and yet very relaxed speaker. He’s a natural.

He has been self-employed for nineteen years, starting at age 18, including nine years in a partnership that employed thirty people in four states. He has lost and made money in business and led many community, commercial and artistic projects.

He has succeeded through initiative, creativity, persistence and by constantly refining his skills.

At conferences, Andrew often provides multiple services:

Conference Facilitator – providing advice on the design of the event and taking care of all MC duties, but also handling panel sessions, discussions, debates or hypotheticals when required.

Keynote Speaker – for a provocative opener, an uplifting after-luncher or maybe a theme-weaving closer.

Workshop Facilitator – for hilarious, practical breakout workshops.

“Mick the Demotivational Speaker” – at the conference dinner or as the perfect closer.

Just for fun, Andrew is also a stand-up comedian. He has performed at two seasons of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and toured twelve towns across WA with the one-man version of his musical, WHAT A MAN’S GOTTA DO. And he has shared the stage with some of Australia’s best known acts.

He is a state and national award-winning singer/songwriter with accolades including ASA’s Australian Songwriter of the Year in 2000 and WAM Song of the Year 2003.

The first full production of his musical, WHAT A MAN’S GOTTA DO, sold out The Rechabites Hall, Perth, September 2006.

He has also written a novel, called “Sam”.

“Andrew, You were the tonic that everyone needed! What a talent to make folks ‘belly laugh’ like that. I have no idea how we are ever going to better this in future years.”
Edith Cowan University

“What a hit you were with our staff, they loved you! I was really impressed with how well you were able to include our key issues and challenges. Many speakers talk about customising their presentations but none have executed it as well as you did.“

Australian National Credit Union

“Bullshift was an awesome, awesome session. LOVED IT!! Andrew Horabin was an excellent presenter. He captured the audience from start to finish while still delivering a message… Andrew is always great to listen to, whatever he is speaking about. I think he could take the most boring subject and make it great…”
WASSRA Convention

“Thank you for your magnificent contribution to the success of our conference. People are still speaking about you and various parts of your presentations are predominant in their minds (hopefully this means they will be putting this info to good use at work, and indeed in all their lives!). Your professionalism, empathy, detailed research and relaxed friendliness endeared you to all of us. We appreciate all the time you put in to achieve such wonderful, precise and useful presentations for us all.”
SASSAOA

“There are only a few professionals who can accomplish being the Master of Ceremonies, a presenter and a facilitator to ensure that our open panel session achieved our goals. The team building exercise that you thought up and put together was fantastic and just what I was looking for. You are a professional with a relaxed style who has the ability to keep the conference working smoothly and to the timetable.”
